Gritty and Saucy
Bodyguard, starring Game of Thrones Alum, Richard Madden, mixes culturally relevant grit with soapy melodrama. It sounds like those two things shouldn’t go together, but Bodyguard manages to pull it off and remain gripping until the end. Richard Madden does a phenomenal job portraying the inner tension of someone suffering from PTSD, giving a layered performance that earned him a Golden Globe in 2019 for Best Actor in a TV Drama.
